Terms & Conditions

• "Uniformly", "we", "us" - the platform operator.
• "Buyer" - a user who purchases an item.
• "Seller" - a user who lists an item for sale, directly or on consignment.
• "Partner" - a school, PTA, sports club, scout group, dance academy, or community organisation that operates a portal.

You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or that we reasonably suspect of fraud.

Sellers may list items directly or send them to Uniformly to sell on their behalf (consignment). Sellers confirm they own or are authorised to sell each item and that listings are accurate.

For consignment sales, Uniformly acts as the seller's agent and retains a 30% commission on the final sale price.

Buyers pay through Stripe at checkout. The total comprises the item price, a buyer fee of 5% plus £0.70, and any delivery charge.

Payments are held in escrow by Uniformly until the order is fulfilled - shipped by the seller, or confirmed collected by the buyer - at which point the seller's payout is released.

The buyer fee funds platform operations, payment processing, and our community impact: 40% of net buyer-fee profit is shared with the relevant school, PTA, sports club, or community organisation, and 20% supports UK family charities. These shares are tracked and reported on the site.

Sellers receive payouts to their Stripe Connect account once an order is fulfilled. Sellers can instead choose to donate their proceeds to a partner charity or to their school, PTA, sports club, or community organisation. Uniformly is not liable for payout delays caused by incomplete Stripe onboarding or seller verification.

Partners are responsible for managing their portal, members, and listings. The first member to complete setup becomes the Organisation Owner and can invite staff. Partners receive their fee share as accrued and acknowledge that unclaimed shares are held by Uniformly until the portal is claimed.

Parent Sales & Organisation Payouts: Sellers retain 100% of their listed sale price on direct peer-to-peer transactions. The designated organisation receives an automated 40% payout split derived from the platform's Community Impact & Protection fee.

Direct Organisation Inventory: Organisations listing and selling physical stock directly via their portal (office donations, lost property, second-hand shop stock, or team kit) retain 100% of their listed item price.

Stripe Verification & Escrow Retention: Organisation payouts are strictly restricted to verified organisation bank accounts using Stripe Connect. Funds raised for an unverified designated organisation remain in escrow for up to 365 days. If an organisation does not claim its portal and complete business verification within 365 days, all rights to those funds are forfeited, and unclaimed funds are released to Uniformly to support platform operations.

You must not list counterfeit, stolen, unsafe, or prohibited items, misrepresent condition, abuse the messaging system, or attempt to transact outside the platform to avoid fees.

You can close your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate access immediately where there is a breach, a legal obligation, or a serious risk to the platform or other users. Outstanding payouts and obligations survive termination.

Uniformly provides a marketplace and is not the seller of directly-listed items. We act as agent for consignment items. Our liability for losses is limited to the order value, except where law (for example the Consumer Rights Act 2015) provides otherwise.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers may invoke the consumer dispute resolution rules of the country in which they live.

Standard Hub (free): The Standard Hub portal is free in perpetuity for every registered organisation - including state and public schools, independent schools, PTAs, grassroots sports clubs, team academies, scout groups, dance schools, healthcare facilities and corporate workwear teams. It includes public marketplace listings, automated 40% net-proceeds community payouts, custom portal branding, dynamic QR flyers and social sharing. No subscription, listing or setup fees apply.

POS & Event Passes (paid add-on): In-person Point of Sale tools are optional. A 7-Day Single Event Pass (£25 one-off) grants full POS access for 7 days from activation. An Unlimited Event Pass (£15/month, recurring) grants ongoing POS access until cancelled. Passes are billed via Stripe. A single-event pass expires automatically after 7 days; a monthly subscription renews until you cancel it from the billing portal, and access reverts to the free Standard Hub when it ends or is cancelled.

Hardware orders & delivery: Physical hardware (Stripe Terminal card readers, event kits, table banners, printed QR flyers) is ordered and managed by Uniformly on behalf of organisations. Order status progresses from Order Placed to Dispatched, In Transit and Delivered. Estimated delivery dates are indicative. Risk in goods passes on delivery. If goods arrive damaged or incomplete, contact us within 14 days. We are not liable for carrier delays outside our control.

Tier Entitlements & Feature Availability: External website embedding, iFrame storefront widgets, and direct buy buttons are premium tools available exclusively to organisations with an active Pro Tier subscription (£15/month or £150/year). Free Community Tier accounts retain access to standard marketplace landing pages, fundraising payouts, and downloadable QR code flyers, but cannot embed interactive widgets on external domains.

Disablement Upon Subscription Termination: Access to external website embedding, API endpoints, and direct buying widgets is strictly contingent upon maintaining an active Pro Tier subscription. Upon cancellation, non-payment, or expiration of a Pro Tier plan, embedded widgets and direct buy tools on external organisation domains will be automatically disabled.

External Embedding & Security Compliance: Active Pro Tier organisations are permitted to embed their Uniformly storefront widget or direct buy links onto official third-party websites. All transactions remain subject to Uniformly's standard secure checkout protocol, encryption standards, and automated payment processing. Organisations must not attempt to bypass platform payment channels, alter embedded security script protocols, or collect card data outside the secure Stripe frame.

Subscription Terms: Pro Tier subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis and can be cancelled at any time via the Organisation Admin Portal.
