Buying & Selling

(4)
Uniformly is the only UK marketplace dedicated exclusively to pre-loved uniforms - school, work, healthcare, and sports kit. Every purchase includes buyer protection, 40% of fee profits go to your school, PTA, sports club, or community organisation, and 20% goes to UK family charities. You can buy direct from sellers or through our consignment service. See how we compare to other second-hand uniform apps.
Any pre-loved school, sports clubs, scout groups, dance schools, other teams work, medical, hospitality or retail uniform in wearable condition - blazers, jumpers, kilts, trousers, shirts, PE kits, hoodies, match shirts, aprons, scrubs and more. Items should be clean and accurately described with honest photos. You can list them yourself (Direct) or send them to us to sell on your behalf (Consignment).
Send your uniform to us and we handle the rest - we photograph it, create a clean background-removed listing, store it, and ship it to the buyer. Once it sells, you receive 70% of the price automatically via Stripe payout. Consignment is ideal if you'd rather not manage messages, postage and payments yourself.
If something isn't right - an item doesn't match its description, arrives damaged, or you haven't received it - go to your order page and message the seller directly through the in-app chat. For collection orders, you confirm receipt there before the seller's payout is released. If you can't resolve it with the seller, contact us and we'll help.

Fees & Payments

(5)
No! For direct listings it is 100% free to list and sell your own items on Uniformly. You keep 100% of your listed asking price with zero listing fees, zero seller commissions, and zero monthly seller subscriptions. If however, you'd like Uniformly to sell on your behalf (consignment) we charge a 30% commission fee.
It is a small fee added at checkout (70p + 5%) that ensures every purchase is safe. You are fully covered for a refund if your uniform never arrives, is lost in transit, or arrives significantly different from the listing photos.
Simple, transparent pricing with zero hidden seller fees: • Direct Listings: Free for sellers (keep 100% of your price). Buyers pay a small Community Impact & Protection Fee (70p + 5%) at checkout. This fee covers secure Stripe payment processing, buyer escrow protection, platform hosting, and direct fundraising payouts. Net proceeds from this fee fund your designated school/PTA (40%) and UK family charities (20%). • Consignment Listings: 30% commission (we handle photographing, listing, and shipping on your behalf).
When your item sells, the payment is held securely by Uniformly via Stripe until the order is complete. For delivery orders, your payout is released once you've dispatched the item and added a tracking number. For collection orders, it's released once the buyer confirms they've collected it. Payouts land automatically in your connected bank account through Stripe Connect - you can set up and track your payouts from your seller dashboard.
Yes. When your item sells, you can choose where your payout goes from your seller dashboard - your bank via Stripe, Rainbow Trust, Family Action or your designated organisation. Pick 'Your designated organisation' and your proceeds go straight to your designated organisation with no Stripe account or bank details needed. You can set this per item any time before the payout is released.

Schools & Organisations

(10)
Parents who list items directly keep 100% of their selling price with zero listing or seller fees. When an organisation (such as a school, PTA, or sports club) lists physical stock directly through their portal, the designated organisation keeps 100% of the sale price. For parent-to-parent sales, an automated 40% payout from the buyer's protection fee is transferred directly to the designated organisation.
Organisations must register and claim their official profile on Uniformly to link a verified bank account via Stripe Connect. Accumulated funds are transferred directly to the designated organisation.
Every organisation undergoes mandatory business and entity verification via Stripe Connect to ensure payout accounts match the official entity. Personal bank accounts cannot be connected to an official profile for a designated organisation.
Funds raised for unverified organisations are held securely in Escrow for up to 1 calendar year (365 days). Uniformly actively attempts to contact eligible organisation leads to onboard them. If an organisation fails to register and verify bank details within 365 days of the initial transaction, the unclaimed funds are released to Uniformly to support platform operations.
No. All organisations (schools, local PTAs and clubs) get full access to our Community Tier for £0/month forever - including custom school portal branding and automated 40% net proceeds fundraising payouts. For organisations wanting advanced in-person event tools, we offer an optional Pro Tier (£15/mo or £25 per Event Pass) featuring our digital barcode POS scanner, live physical inventory sync, and automated ESG carbon impact reports.
If your organisation runs in-person pop-up sales (uniform shops, fayres, match-day kit stalls), you can add Point of Sale tools. A 7-Day Event Pass costs £25 as a one-off and unlocks the mobile POS barcode scanner, real-time inventory dedup (so an item can't sell twice), digital lost-and-found intake and downloadable ESG carbon/water impact reports for 7 days. The Unlimited Event Pass is £15/month and keeps all POS tools active for as many events as you like, until you cancel. Both are optional add-ons - the Standard Hub remains free.
Yes. Custom branding - your organisation's logo in the portal header, a primary brand colour accent, and a dedicated portal web address (uniformly.app/schools/your-name or /clubs/your-name) - is included at no cost on every organisation account, including the free Standard Hub.
Yes! With an active Pro Tier subscription, your Organisation Admin Portal includes ready-to-use "Website Integration" tools. You can copy-paste a simple embed code (iFrame widget) onto your school, club, or PTA website so parents can browse and buy pre-loved uniform items directly on your site, or add a direct "Buy Uniforms" link to your main navigation menu.
No technical knowledge is needed. Uniformly automatically generates ready-to-use code snippets and direct links for Pro Tier subscribers. Simply copy the code from your admin panel and paste it into your website builder (such as WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or Webflow).
If your Pro Tier subscription expires or is cancelled, embedded website widgets and direct buying buttons on your external site will automatically be disabled and display a polite notice directing visitors to your standard Uniformly portal page. Renewing or reactivating your Pro Tier subscription will instantly re-enable direct purchasing on your site without needing to replace the embed code.
